Please review the following details to ensure that everyone in your stateroom is eligible to sail:

  • Infants who are at least 6 months on the day of departure, may sail.
  • Women who will be less than 24 weeks into their pregnancy on the day of departure and for the duration of the cruise, may sail. This policy is due to the risk of premature labor. Pregnant women must have a letter from their doctor (on the physician’s letterhead) stating how far along (in weeks) their pregnancy will be at the beginning of the cruise, that mother and baby are in good health and fit to travel, and that the pregnancy is not high-risk.
  • Adults aged twenty-one (21) or older may sail. Any guest under the age of twenty-one must meet one of these criteria:
    • Traveling in the same stateroom with an individual twenty-one years or older; or
    • Traveling in the same stateroom with their spouse. Proof of age and/or proof of marriage are required.
Guests not conforming to these policies will be denied boarding and no refund of the cruise fare will be issued. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to these policies.

The 2019 WOD on the Waves cruise is non-refundable. There are no refunds if you cancel – no exceptions.

We strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance to avoid financial loss due to unforeseen circumstances including emergencies.

There also will be no refunds given for those who do not show up on time, unused tickets or after the Cruise has occurred. Again, we HIGHLY recommend that passengers consider purchasing travel insurance.

Please note this cancellation provision applies to WOD on the Waves, regardless of any representations made by Royal Caribbean International (RCI), whether in its passenger contract terms or elsewhere. All rights granted to passengers in the RCI passenger contract relating to the payment or refund of cruise fare and to cancellations by passengers is void.

The passenger who places a reservation for a stateroom is considered the stateroom’s “Primary” passenger and is responsible for initiating or authorizing changes to the reservation by logging into the reservation site or emailing [email protected]

Proper travel documentation is required at embarkation and throughout the cruise for all guests. Even though a guest has completed the cruise line’s online check-in, it is still the guest’s responsibility to present the required travel documents at the time of embarkation. Any guest without proper documents will not be allowed to board the vessel, and no refund will be issued. Royal Caribbean International, WOD on the Waves, Landry & Kling and their agents/affiliates assume no responsibility for advising guests of proper travel documentation.

It is HIGHLY recommended that all guests travel with a passport that is valid for at least 6 months following the cruise return date. Passports are required in the event you need to fly from the U.S. to a foreign port should you miss the scheduled port of embarkation or if you need to fly back to the U.S. for emergency reasons. Traveling with a passport may also help to expedite your CBP clearance upon return to the U.S.

The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) allows U.S. citizens (including children) sailing on cruises that begin and end in the same U.S. port to travel with one of the WHTI compliant documents:

  • Valid U.S. Passport
  • Passport Card
  • Birth Certificate issued by a government agency (original or notarized copy only – please note hospital issued birth certificates are not allowed) PLUS a government-issued photo ID
  • Original Certificate of Naturalization PLUS a government-issued photo ID
  • Trusted Traveler Program Membership Card (e.g., NEXUS, SENTRI, or FAST), PLUS a government-issued photo ID
  • Form I-872 American Indian Card or (when available) Enhanced Tribal Card, PLUS a government-issued photo ID
  • Enhanced Driver’s License (EDL), which is only acceptable at land and sea ports of entry and cannot be used for air travel outside the U.S. (The word ‘Enhanced’ must appear on the driver’s license. The following five states currently issue an EDL: Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Vermont and Washington.)

Copies of U.S. passports/naturalization papers, hospital certificates and baptismal certificates are not WHTI compliant documents and are therefore NOT acceptable.

The requirements above are for US citizens; non-US nationals may require entry visas in addition to their valid passports. NOTE! It is the responsibility of the guest to identify, obtain and present necessary visas before the start of their cruise vacation. Requirements vary based on the guest’s nationality. The laws that regulate the necessary travel documentation are subject to change and it is the guest responsibility to be aware of what is required for travel.

All Other Nationalities (Non-US Citizens) MUST have the following:

  • Passport from their home country.

  • Multiple entry United States visa (if applicable).

All non-U.S. or Canadian passport holders should contact their Embassy (Consular Services) for specific visa requirements, information, forms and fees for their nationality.

For more information on the documentation requirements, go to .

Detailed instructions about clearing customs will be provided onboard the ship near the end of the cruise. Some general guidelines/suggestions to keep in mind as you shop in foreign ports include: keep receipts for gifts and purchases; U.S. residents visiting foreign ports have a duty-free allowance of $400 and those 21 years or older may include one liter of liquor.

All guests must be on board BY 3:00pm!  Plan accordingly!

Passports are not required for U.S. citizens, but are strongly recommended. If you choose not to obtain a passport, you MUST have an original, raised-seal, state-issued (not hospital issued) birth certificate AND a driver’s license with you. The two documents must have matching names. If for some reason the names do not match (marriage, etc.), you will need a copy of a legal document(s) explaining why (marriage certificate, etc.).

Keep identification and cruise documents handy. Put them in your carry-on bag. Do not pack them in your luggage. You will need to produce these documents several times before boarding the ship.

Assist security. Heightened security measures at the Port help to ensure your safety. Please cooperate with security personnel to expedite boarding.

Tag your luggage. Complete and attach the luggage tags provided when you complete your online check-in. If you don’t have luggage tags, Porters at the cruise terminal can provide additional tags.

Carry valuables. Carry on any valuables, breakables, personal items and medications, along with your photo ID and cruise documents.

Follow signs. Digital directional signs with ship names and terminal assignments are updated daily.

Reservation changes can only be made by person(s) financially responsible for the online reservation and changes in reservations must be made via the online reservation system. Until approximately 45 days prior to sailing, most changes to existing reservations can be made by logging into the cruise reservation system by clicking on the “Book Now” button on the WOD on the Waves Cruise website, clicking on “View My Account.” Any notice of cancellation, guest name or stateroom changes, as well as any changes needed within 45 days of sailing will need to be submitted via email to . If the change is permitted, Customer Service will make the adjustment.

Guests traveling alone in their own stateroom are responsible for the double-occupancy cost of the stateroom. WOD on the Waves is offering the Independent Traveler Program if you wish to cut the fee in half and be paired up with another guest of the same gender who is requesting the same stateroom category. You will be walked through the detail upon booking.

If you want to be added to an existing reservation, please email us at with the following information: reservation number, your legal first & last name, date of birth, gender and country of citizenship. Please note we will also need written authorization from the person who is financially responsible for the reservation.

Because WOD on the Waves is a non-refundable cruise, we highly recommend you obtain insurance. A link to obtain a travel insurance quote will be available on our registration site once you have completed your reservation.

No. Airfare is not included.
